We are happy to announce we have picked up another football sponsorship agreement to complement our activities with the Spanish La Liga. This latest sponsorship deal is with Champions League and German Bundesliga team FC Schalke 04, running til the end of the 2016/2017 season, with the potential for further collaboration.

You may shortly see us represented on LED signage at FC Schalke 04’s home ground, Veltins Arena, and various other places around the stadium and in team-related publications. Our tyres will also be used on the team’s bus of course!

Yong-Sung Kim, Managing Director Kumho Tire Europe, explained the motivation for the sponsorship saying:

“We are delighted to enter into a longstanding partnership with FC Schalke 04 as the club stands for reliability, for purpose and for international prestige. These are decisive criteria in our partnerships in sport.”

Alexander Jobst, Chief Marketing Officer of Schalke looked forward to the cooperation saying:

“With Kumho Tyre as one of the leading tire manufacturers in the world, we sign a partnership which confirms that FC Schalke 04 has won enormous popularity internationally in recent years.”

  1. Hello, I see that in paragraphs three and four you’ve copied word-for-word my own translation from the original German release. Where do I send my invoice?

Hi Stephen. We put all the relevant text in quotes, as they were quotations from your great piece, we also linked back to your article on Tyrepress to get you more coverage in return and to also show the original source. However, since you weren’t happy with this we have changed the article, quoted other sources, and linked to them instead. Thanks.
