It’s been quite the week for Kumho Tyre!

Hot on the heels of the announcement last week of our partnership with Tottenham Hotspur, it’s time to announce that we will also be the official tyre partner of Olympique Lyonnais. The agreement between the French Ligue 1 team is for an initial two years, and will commence with the 2016/2017 soccer season. It was made official last week at Stade des Lumières, the team’s brand new stadium and UEFA EURO 2016 venue.

“We are excited to welcome Kumho as our new partner. Olympique Lyonnais continues to expand internationally and this contract with an established South Korean company shows Olympique Lyonnais’s ability to go beyond frontiers and take a further step in its strategy towards international exposure. Kumho Tyre provides a great opportunity for us to enhance our popularity in Asia and all over the world.” Jean-Michel Aulas, President of Olympique Lyonnais

“We are very happy to create this partnership with Olympique Lyonnais, one of the most prestigious football clubs in Europe. The club‘s magnificent stadium will serve as great showcase for our brand. This partnership between Olympique Lyonnais and Kumho Tyre has been made made in order to generate mutual advantages for both brands in terms of general visibility and international exposure.” Han-Seob Lee, President and CEO of Kumho Tire Co., Inc.
